DPCI Announces SmartExtract for InCopy

Company Creates XML Transformation Tool integrated with CMS

New York, NY - January 19, 2005 - DPCI announced SmartExtract, an application used to convert Adobe InCopy files to a form suitable for many content management (CMS) applications. SmartExtract is built to work exclusively with Smart Connection Enterprise, an publishing workflow system created by WoodWing Software.

SmartExtract offers a simple web interface for a user to select multiple articles created with InCopy and stored in SmartConnection Enterprise. SmartExtract takes the selected articles and associated metadata and generates XML files that match the schema of a defined CMS application.

SmartExtract also exports images stored in SmartConnection that were used within the same InDesign layout as an InCopy article, passing the images to the target CMS and making them available to users there.

SmartExtract is currently being implemented with Atomz CMS and will be available with other CMS applications later in 2005.
