DPCI Helps Launch BreakingNews.com

DPCI is brought on by PV Media Group to help design and build Breakingnews.com, an aggregated news site that was launched on Election day, 2008. The site pulls news from various syndicated sources on the Web, including CNN, Reuters, NY Times and other major online news publications.

New York, NY - November 17, 2008 - DPCI, a provider of integrated technology solutions for organizations that need to publish content to Web, print, and mobile channels, today announced that it teamed up with PV Media Group, an award-winning online media solutions provider, and Breaking News Network, Inc., to design and deploy a new Website for BreakingNews.com. In just five weeks, the two firms worked together to launch a cutting-edge Web site and collaborative publishing system powered by Drupal's Content Management System (CMS).

PV Media Group is a leading Search Engine Optimization and online marketing firm that focuses on ROI for online customers with global brands. Just over one month ago, they tasked DPCI with completing the development and deployment of an exciting new aggregated news site for Breakingnews.com, launched on Election Day.

Breakingnews.com ushers in a new era of Web-based news reporting by taking news feeds from around the Web, aggregating them in real-time and centralizing them in one place. Visitors can take advantage of a clean and flexible Website where they are able to organize their favorite categories of content and link to the comments of others from across the Web who are writing about related content via Twitter and blog feeds.

With the new Drupal-based Web content management system in place, PV Media Group now has a dynamic Web publishing system that enables their virtual editorial staff to publish both original and aggregated articles. DPCI customized Drupal with a range of easy-to-use publishing features and templates to make it extremely easy to add and update new content on the site from anywhere in the world.

"When we were engaged by PV Media Group to develop and deploy BreakingNews.com, we were tasked with redefining the technical aspects of the immediate publishing of aggregated content online. This site opens up doors for news editors worldwide to efficiently amass stories and quickly publish them online for a broad range of audiences," added Samuel Wilson, Director of Operations at DPCI. "Utilizing the Drupal content management system, PV Media Group now has a platform that provides their editors with a simple and easy-to-manage interface while giving their visitors a more personal experience for reading their news."

As part of the project, DPCI customized the Drupal content management system with an enhanced editorial interface. This allows news editors to quickly upload their content and categorize it for specific headlines, photo and video galleries, and other featured areas of the site, all of which help visitors navigate the site with ease. Additionally, DPCI implemented a time tagging system that shows visitors how quickly they are getting the news, and viewer comments, from around the Web at one user-friendly Website.

"Working with DPCI on such a tight timeline to launch a site of this complexity has been remarkable. From the moment we began working with them, their attention to our specific needs and acumen for cutting edge technology has far exceeded our expectations," Jim McDonald, CEO of BreakingNews.com added. "We are really excited about taking the concept of news online to another level."
