James Haney, former Mundocom CTO, Joins Executive Team at DPCI

James Haney appointed as General Manager of DPCI-Chicago. Focus remains on delivering content technology solutions with localized customer service in the Midwestern region of the United States

New York, NY - January 5, 2011 - DPCI, a provider of integrated technology solutions for organizations that need to publish content to Web, print, and mobile channels, today named James Haney as the General Manager of the newly opened Chicago Office. Mr. Haney will play a pivotal role in growing DPCI's content technology services business in the Midwestern region of the United States.

Mr. Haney brings more than 20 years of relevant experience within the industry to DPCI. Prior to joining DPCI, Haney was President of Lightcatcher Consulting, a services company based in Chicago that specialized in digital asset management, digital production workflow, system integration, process automation and data integration. Before that, Mr. Haney was Chief Technology Officer of Mundocom Worldwide, managing ten production facilities around the globe.

“I met James about 17 years ago while I was working at the Associated Press as technical services manager for AP AdSend,” recalls Joseph Bachana, CEO of DPCI. “Back then James was managing a progressive group of young technologists at Capps Studio (later a wholly owned subsidiary of the Leo Burnett Agency), and I was thoroughly impressed with his technical and management chops. I have stayed in touch with James over these years and I remain impressed with his many accomplishments. I am thrilled to have him join our management team.”

Mr. Haney is a graduate of Central Missouri State University (BS) and the Illinois Institute of Technology (MS). He is responsible for all operations in DPCI's branch office. Haney lives in Barrington, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, with his wife, four children, and their champion Portuguese Waterdog, Móle.

“I have been very fortunate in my career to have worked at companies where innovation has been both a high priority and a key component of competitive differentiation,” states Haney. “I am impressed with how DPCI and its expert team of technologists remains at the forefront of content technologies year in-and-out. I am invigorated and flattered that Joe Bachana has invited me to be part of DPCI’s expansion plans.”

Mr. Haney’s focus will be on helping organizations maximize their existing investments in digital asset management systems. This will include integrations of DAM with Web content management technologies, editorial workflow management systems, multi-channel publishing technologies such as Adobe InDesign server, and other enterprise business systems. Haney will also be working to extend DPCI’s decade-long relationship with Microsoft as a Gold-Certified partner by helping organizations maximize their investments in Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and related technologies.

“Throughout his career, James has consistently demonstrated a strong record in driving operational success,” said Joseph Bachana, President of DPCI. “We look forward to him playing a strategic role in expanding our offerings throughout the Midwest."
