WoodWing Software and DPCI building new partnership

Zaandam, The Netherlands - August 9, 2004 - WoodWing Software, a premier developer of Adobe InCopy and InDesign solutions, today announced a partnership with DPCI, a New York based computer services company that implements content management and workflow systems for a variety of industries. Through this new relationship, DPCI will become a systems integrator for WoodWing Software, specializing in Smart Connection Enterprise, the first database-driven solution in the Smart Connection family of products.

Smart Connection from WoodWing is the industry's only open source InCopy/InDesign publishing solution. With over 4500 licenses worldwide, it is the most installed InCopy solution in the marketplace. Teams using this plug-in can create a publication while working simultaneously within the same documents. For example, while designers' work is in progress, editors can assign story editing and copy fitting, without stopping or passing around a paginated document.

"We are really excited about working with DPCI, said Erik Schut, President of WoodWing Software. "Its strong reputation in the publishing domain, PMI-based project methodology and strategic location in New York City make DPCI an ideal partner for us. We couldn't be happier with the direction this collaboration is headed."

Building on its distinguished success at customizing applications for companies that publish to multiple media, DPCI is developing strategies for putting Smart Connection Enterprise to work for its clients. "We spent several years evaluating the available publishing workflow products that support the Adobe Creative Suite," said Joseph Bachana, President of DPCI. "Smart Connection Enterprise was the only solution that met all of our clients' strict criteria. With an open architecture and support for the relational database products our clients already have, it offers a framework upon which they can build solutions that meet their particular requirements, not somebody else's conception of their requirements."

Adobe Systems' Mike Zahorik and Gary Cosimini have worked with many solution developers, partners and integrators for InDesign and InCopy and are delighted to see DPCI and WoodWing working together. "Adobe is committed to providing the most powerful publishing platform for creative professionals," said Gary Cosimini, business development manager for Creative Professional products at Adobe. "Together, Woodwing and DPCI are going to improve the publishing process and enable users to take advantage of the powerful integration between InDesign CS and InCopy CS."
