New Mass Media Selects DPCI to Implement WoodWing's SmartConnection

Detroit, MI - October 26, 2005 - New Mass Media, one of the leading weekly publishers in New England, has chosen WoodWing Softwares industry-leading Smart Connection Enterprise as its new editorial production system.

New Mass Media selected DPCI (a leading integrator of publishing systems in the United States) to implement Smart Connection Enterprise. With offices in Connecticut and Massachusetts, New Mass Media publishes some of New Englands top newsweeklies, including the Advocate newspapers and the Fairfield County Weekly. The publications focus on arts, entertainment and lifestyle.

Officials at New Mass Media were looking for an editorial system that would meet the needs of a decentralized editorial staff that was producing multiple publications. They found exactly what they needed with Smart Connection Enterprise, the industrys most powerful editorial solution for Adobe InDesign and InCopy.

WoodWing USA CEO Brian Kruger praised DPCI for putting the deal together, and said he was thrilled to have New Mass Media joining the WoodWing family.

DPCI has been a tremendous partner of ours here in the United States, Kruger said. Were excited to have New Mass Media aboard as a customer and cant wait to hear feedback from their editorial team on the merits of our technology.

New Mass Media joins a growing international roster of Smart Connection Enterprise users. Kruger said there are now publishers in 16 countries and five continents using Smart Connection Enterprise. WoodWing recently reached a huge milestone, as it installed its 100th Enterprise system.

One of the reasons for the success of Smart Connection Enterprise is that its the perfect solution for so many different types of companies, Kruger said. Whether youre a large magazine or book publisher, a small newspaper company, or anything in between, its the ideal editorial system because its so versatile and efficient.
